Avoid the Main Business Errors

According to Rice, “Many of the problems that plague huge multinational corporations are often the same problems entrepreneurial-type businesses face. We can see on a national basis what happens when businesses take their eye off the ball. Small businesses cannot afford to make these mistakes…there’s no government bail-out for small business.”

Rice offers small businesses owners tips on how to grow and flourish as the market recovers:

Always be aware of your competitors and their plans. Many of the problems that Chrysler and GM face today could have been avoided with an aggressive plan to address their Japanese competitors 30+ years ago. By not addressing costs, quality and management/labor relations aggressively, they left the door open for foreign competition to get a foothold that should have been much more difficult to obtain. Small business owners MUST periodically (at least annually) sit down and do a competitive analysis of your industry. Look at your competitors’ advantages and determine whether you need to do something now to address it. If you have lost business to your competition, find out exactly the reason they left. Do NOT assume you know why, ask them directly if possible. If you hear a trend of reasons, you better take action quickly. (more…)

Flexible Jobs and the Best Souce of Them

First of all, in order to discuss this topic thoroughly, we should be equipped with the correct definition of “flexible”. In my point of view, the real meaning of “flexible job” is the job which doesn’t disrupt your daily work, or as a college student, your class assignments, meanwhile could offer you some extra money in your pockets and helpful experiences in your resumes. As far as I am concerned, the flexible jobs do not necessarily call for certain skills, of course if you are a master in some sorts of fields, you choices will be more plentiful, and your leisure time will turn out to be more effective. For instance, if your major is computer engineering, you will be an ideal candidate for a popular job programmer.

Second, I want to address the necessity of finding a flexible job. No one can deny the fact that money is an everlasting lurk for human being, in order to be affordable to a long-dreamed cell phone or PC or increase your account deposits, you deadly need a flexible job. Besides the substantial need, your resume will be outstanding if decorated with a bunch of previous working experiences. (more…)

A large part of business worldwide is done on volumes. Trading on credit has spelt trouble for sectors that depend on heavy cash flow. For example, a chain of restaurants that depend on credit cards access, make use of invoices for every purchase and delivery is a perfect client for accounts payable outsourcing. Human error can never be ruled out during busy season or peak hours. Hence money is spent on creating duplicate bills and invoices that incur losses. Tracking outstation invoices that do not match the inward invoice or tally with the actual figures can create huge messes. Departmental employees tend to leave them unattended and this creates accounting hassles at the end of the year. When an entire chain is able to work out a system, specific to their schedule which takes into account peak business hours strategies, a major goal is accomplished. Few back office employees are able to handle financial crisis, if it occurs at the year end. It naturally means losses for the eatery business too. Once this mess is handed over to a professional accounting outsource firm, it means a huge a boulder thrown over the counter. (more…)
